When a companion or character app fits better
- You want an AI friend that is not based on any real person.
- You enjoy fiction, role-play or chatting with many different characters.
- You want to start chatting instantly without exporting any data.
- You mainly use a phone and do not have a Windows PC.
These are legitimate uses and very different from what Memory Clone does.

Why real data changes the experience
A persona described in a paragraph produces a plausible character, but not a recognisable person. Real people have quirks that are hard to describe and easy to recognise: a habit of sending three short messages instead of one, a particular laugh written as “hahah”, a nickname used by exactly one person. Learning from real messages is what lets a simulation pick up those details.
It also means a higher responsibility. Real messages contain private memories and other people’s words. That is why Memory Clone processes imports locally, keeps relationships separate, asks for permission when cloning someone else, and always presents a clone as AI.
